Eclipse's Plugin API has everything that you need to develop your own code audit rules. The "AuditPlugin" that you can get for free is integrated into the context menu of a Java class. It checks the class automatically for violations against any of the activated audit rules. All violations are displayed in Eclipse's "Tasks" view - the same view in which you will find compiler errors or warnings. Double-clicking takes you directly to the code.Click here for the Javadoc documentation.
